Houston · Design first

Utility, data center, and gas design that can be built.

AVA Engineering is a design practice. We draw the utilities, the campus, and the gas — including fuel gas for data centers — then seal the set. Coordination and field support follow the drawings. They do not replace them.

Core design

Four design lines. Everything else on this site supports these drawings.

Substation and utility design

Utility design

Water, sewer, storm, duct bank, and franchise relocations. Plans, profiles, details, and conflict tables an owner or city can review. Built for roadway, site, and campus work where the utilities are the critical path.

From $4,500
Data center exterior

Data center design

Site civil, yard layout, cooling-plant pads, primary electrical service alignment, and utility corridors for a hall or a campus. We design the bones the building sits on — not the server rows.

From $18,000
Gas-fired generation equipment

Gas design for data centers

Fuel-gas laterals, meter-set layouts, generator headers, and campus distribution to backup generation. Sized for the load, coordinated with the electric service, and drawn so the gas company can review it.

From $8,500
Natural gas pipe yard

Gas design, overall

Distribution mains, service laterals, regulator stations, and commercial or industrial feeds outside a data center. Alignment, class location notes, details, and permit drawings for the operator or the city.

From $6,500

Also on the drawings

Support that stays tied to the design. Not a construction-management menu.

Design review and seal

Independent check of another firm’s utility or gas set, then a seal when it meets the standard.

Utility conflict design

Relocation alignments and details where a roadway or campus hits existing lines.

Meter and regulator layouts

Station piping, pads, and clearances for gas company review.

Duct bank and vault design

Power and fiber corridors into a data hall or substation yard.

Permit sets

City, county, and operator packages with notes, details, and calculations.

Record drawings

Redlines turned into a clean as-built of the designed utilities.

Starting prices

Standard design scopes. Incomplete surveys, extra sheets, and rush work are quoted after we see the files.
